What is Peri-menopause?  Peri-menopause is the shift of when woman’s period and ovulation start to become irregular.

With this change symptoms can include: Hot Flashes, Moodiness, Sleep Disturbances like Night Sweats and Insomnia, Body changes and other uncomfortable disturbances.

The body is the moving toward menopause.

A new step in a woman’s life that in the past has been seen a bad thing.

In 2023 I would say we are in a bit of a Renaissance to how we as woman look at Menopause. This is a time where are are finding our voice and beginning to speak out loud that we are not to be forgotten only because we are getting older.

I believe this is a time in our life when we can reclaim our bodies and celebrate the maturing nature of our physical selves.

What if we the quality of our ageing process can be influenced by what we do now?

We can’t change what is destined to change but we can let go of the fantasy of control and find ways to embrace, share and gain tools to help move through life with grace.

Community is essential in this time, this is why I love the idea of bringing together a group of woman to gather in a circle lead by Amie Mignatti followed by a 90 minute Restorative Yoga practice lead by me, Lori Schindler.

Restorative Yoga= Stress Reduction.  Relieving stress can help reduce symptoms of hot flashes, blood pressure and other menopausal symptoms.  By guiding the body into parasympathetic mode our body can find its own balance, physically, mentally and emotionally.
